Accommodations

Just a ten-minute walk from Dawson College, Hotel du Fort is an independent boutique hotel located at the corner of du Fort and Ste-Catherine Streets. The spacious rooms are tastefully decorated and have small kitchenettes. Other amenities include a business office, wireless Internet, and an exercise room. The atmosphere is soothing and friendly – there are even real books on real shelves in the lobby and the lounge!

There are two supermarkets and many restaurants close by. The Atwater and Guy metro stations are within a few blocks; you can get to the Grande Bibliothèque within 15 minutes.

Directions to the hotel (in English) are provided in a handy one-page PDF that you can print for reference. A map and directions can also be found on the hotel Web site.

The conference rate is $111 (+ taxes) per night (single or double occupancy; wireless Internet included); $20 for each additional person. You should contact the hotel directly to make your reservations before April 20, 2010. Be sure to state that you are attending the Indexing Society of Canada conference.

N.B.: For those who are attending the EAC conference, or who would prefer to stay further downtown, EAC has listed a number of accommodation possibilities close to the Grande Bibliothèque.

À dix minutes de marche du Collège Dawson, l'Hôtel du Fort est un hôtel-boutique indépendant situé à l'angle des rues du Fort et Sainte-Catherine. Les chambres spacieuses sont décorées avec goût et équipées de cuisinettes. Un bureau d'affaires et l'Internet sans fil, ainsi qu'une salle d'exercices sont à la disposition des clients. L'ambiance est apaisante et agréable – il y a même de vrais livres sur de vraies étagères dans le salon et dans la salle de réception!

Il y deux supermarchés et de nombreux restaurants à proximité. Les stations de métro Atwater et Guy sont à quelques rues de l'hôtel, ce qui permet de se rendre à la Grande Bibliothèque en quinze minutes.

Vous devez mentionner que vous faites votre réservation pour assister au congrès de la Société canadienne d'indexation.
